Addiction Recovery Systems

The concept of Family Addiction Treatment Center was born in 1998 as an outgrowth of Dr. Jim Manlandro's belief that persons suffering from addiction should be afforded the same medical care as persons suffering from other chronic and life-threatening illnesses. Encouraged by authorities at Shore Memorial Hospital, his programs grew to serve residents from across South Jersey.

Offices were located and secured in Point Commons, a medical/professional office complex in Somers Point. In November 1999, after receiving federal state and local approvals, Family Addiction Treatment Center began serving patients. In March 2000 the Somers Point location was joined by the clinic located at 1076 Route 47 in Rio Grande. In March 2007, the facility was relocated to 1200 Route 9 South, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.

In May 2004, Family Addiction Treatment Center was recognized as being among the best programs in the country when it received a full three-year accreditation from CARF, a national accrediting body responsible for surveying such programs across North America.
